James Holzhauer Awarded ACBL Honorary Member of the Year |

D19 member James Holzhauer has been named ACBL's Honorary Member of the Year. This award is given annually to someone widely known throughout the membership who has given freely of their time and ability, without thought of reward and in the interest and welfare of the League as a whole. Bronia Jenkins, executive director of the ACBL said, “[James] donates his time to support Jump Start Bridge conferences, creates and hosts the wildly popular Bridge Jeopardy at Bridge Mania, and treats every player–of every level–with genuine warmth, patience and enthusiasm. Whether he’s playing, entertaining, or smiling for countless selfies, James brings energy and generosity that lifts our entire community.” Certainly, those of us in D19 who have had the opportunity to share a table with him could not agree more with Bronia's sentiments! Congrats to James! |
