Thanks for joining us at Penticton! We had 1710½ tables of play at Penticton this year, held June 10-15. That was down 9.9% versus last year and down 47.8% versus 2019 (pre-pandemic). However, this year's tournament was shortened by 2 sessions. If we adjust for the shortened week, we are only down about 2% versus last year. (More details here) Congratulations to Gordon McOrmond of Sidney, BC, who was our overall masterpoint leader for Penticton with 135.22 masterpoints earned! Other top earners were Iftikhar Baqai of Irvine, CA (132.59), Mitch Dunitz of Sherman Oaks, CA (125.83), Dan Jacob of Vancouver, BC (109.66), and Mark Itabashi of Newport Beach, CA (105.28). See how you compared on the leaderboard here. |
